Halden Atelier — Architecture & light

Buildings that hold the light

We design quiet houses, libraries, and rooms that change with the hour.

Manifesto

A house should feel different at seven in the morning than at seven at night — and both should feel like home. We build with thick walls, deep windows, and very few gestures.

    Read the site

We spend a full day on the plot, from sunrise to dusk, before drawing a single line.

  2. II

    Draw the section

Plans show rooms; sections show light. We start with the section.

  3. III

    Tune the openings

Every window is placed for a particular hour of the day.
